trashedclass-deactivated2012022 asked: Is there such thing as a pole-dancing studio/class that teaches minors? Every single one that I've looked into in my area says "18+" and it's depressing me.

You know—I’m not sure! Lilah, weigh in? You’ve done more research into this sort of thing than me. Anyone else feel free to chime in, too.

Anonymous asked: What is the last illegal thing you did?

By whose laws? Being in love with a girl, for one; protesting in favour of human equality rights, which is lately two; thinking for myself and doing research, which is soon to be three by censorship laws on the table. As for the dreary ‘illegal,’ ‘illicit,’ ‘racy’ sort of stuff you may be looking for, I’m afraid I’m dreadfully boring. ‘Illegal’ is rather arbitrary anyway. More?

cuntillingus-deactivated2012020 asked: how do i get one of those tumblr stripper badges on my profile? i cant figure it out >_<

thanks!

Hey there! Just right-click the badge you want on the Strippers of Tumblr page and select Copy Image Location. Then, on your own page coding, put that URL as your image URL in the according html. Replace the ‘a href’ URL with http://tinyurl.com/tumblrstrippers and you’re golden! I also updated the Tumblr Stripper list today for anyone who’s interested. Please welcome Dallas (above) and Fancy. We have over 40 girls listed now!

Anonymous asked: Hello! I'm sixteen right now and while its not legal for me to do do exotic dancing... its kind of been a dream of mine to get into the industry. would you even recommend it..? I feel like I'm letting myself down or undermiming my intellectual capabilities by wantitng to be a stripper because I am a straight A student and all but dancing with no clothes on is what my true dream is! I dont know anymore.
thanks for listening

Hey there darling. I can’t make decisions for you, and if you’re in the US you’ve got a few years yet before you can get into the industry; take those years and make sure this is what you want. Because even if you change your mind later—which you can always do—it’s a part of your life that can be hard to sweep under the rug.

That being said, I find this to be an over-all rewarding job, but that’s because the empowerment comes from me and my choices and my interactions—not the inherent nature of the job or the management. It’s not for everybody and some days are harder than others. I still love it. And I was a graduated-early 4.0 double-degree college girl, myself.

So I can’t recommend or not recommend it; all I can recommend is research so you can discover if this is for you, the good and the bad. And that means reading girls in the field already as well as your kindred spirits, Miri and Milli, both of whom are also aspiring to the industry. Hope this helps! You can always email me as well.

Anonymous asked: Do you know what brand these shoes are? I know Pleaser makes them in Black/White/Red/Pink but who makes them in the other colors? http://nickiminaj.s3.amazonaws.com/media/08/14/large.432y8urpt5a0.jpg

Without a better, closer shot of the heels, my bet is actually Ellie—not Pleaser. While very close to Pleaser’s Adore ankle boots, the arch of the heel and the height of the platform are more indicative of Ellie’s Angela line.

As for orange, I can’t find them anywhere online in orange. They may be old (I’ve been on a hunt for 2 pairs of extinct shoes now) and thus no longer sold, or they may have been custom painted. It’s a very ‘go-go boot’ orange.

Anonymous asked: I just started stripping last week. All of the girls i dance with are really good and i know i look dumb doing the same 3 moves over and over again. I try to pick things up off of them but it's so hard for me. Any advice on how to dance? Maybe you could post a video of you dancing? Idk i feel like i just look stupid on stage.

First: go easy on yourself. It comes naturally to some and not to others. This does not mean you can never be as ‘fancy.’ I still think of Vi. every time someone asks me this question. I hate to say it, but Vi. was pretty bad when I first saw her. But within 3-4 months, she was not only greatly improved, but one of our best dancers.

That being said, every dancer starts out nervous. Your nerves are most likely to get the better of you. A secret? I still get little butterflies on my way to work. They’re gone when I hit the locker room, but I still feel them on the drive. Also, some girls never become capital-P capital-D Pole Dancers. It’s just not their thing. They still make money.

If it is your thing and you want to learn to pole dance for you and what you want to bring to the stage—not what you feel folks expect of you—then I have the following tips: 1) Music; 2) Mirrors; 3) Youtube; 4) Downtime.

Re: 1) Pick you own music, if you can. I am much more fluid when I’m dancing for myself and getting lost in it. For me, stage is MY time. When I’m making rounds for tips or back on the floor, that’s when I focus on clients. Re: 2) Most clubs have mirrors by the stage. This is for a reason. You can watch yourself in them. You can be your own spotter, in a way.

Re: 3) I would love to have videos of me so I could self-critique, but I don’t, or I’d share. I watch competitions on YouTube for ideas of new-to-me moves. It’s also exhilarating when you can get through a competition video and say, ‘I can do all those moves!’ Now, mind you, it took me about a year to be able to say that.

Re: 4) Downtime is critical. Beginning of your shift slow? Ask girls to help you learn new moves on stage. We do that a lot at the House. Or if your club is more competitive and they don’t want to teach you, take that ‘less spotlight’ time to fuck around on the pole. I taught myself my own deviations of 4 tricks just because I was playing around.

I hope this helps. The last thing I’ll add is some girls never get to three moves. If you only want to do those three moves, don’t feel bad about it: rock them. And rock on!
